Sherman Parker is compared to a black a$$ dog referring to him as black and proud, and Star Jones feels that this is appropriate due to Sherman’s party affiliation.
Star Jones, some man has hurt you bad in a past relationship, and you just can’t recover from this hurt. Let the pain go Star, and move on. No man deserves to be compared to a dog because he lost an election, regardless of party affiliation. Especially, when that dog happens to be black and the individual it makes reference to is black.
I am black and I am proud is not a statement about black people and their connection to black animals.
I am black and I am proud is a statement that says that although black people have been through so many horrific experiences to defeat them and break their spirit, some of us have still made it through to keep our heritage of who we are.
“It is just a joke”, yeah it is just a joke to some people. However, I don’t find it to be a joke when I experience the discrimination and roadblocks that are still in place against black people today to keep them from succeeding.
“Many black people are making it today”, but many black people are not making it today. Just look at how black people were treated during Hurricane Katrina and the rebuilding process.
“Well a black guy did this cartoon”, but a black person creating this cartoon does not make the cartoon acceptable to all black people. The cartoon to some black people shows a diminished lack of respect for the statement, “I’m black and I’m proud”, by the creator of the cartoon.
In fact, if the creator of the cartoon had been white there would probably be an outcry from the black community to close down this website. I’m just a black person that doesn’t care what color you are, if I feel that something may be wrong I am going to let you.
Be aware, one black person feels that this cartoon crosses the line of good journalism and humor!!!!
The republicans treat blacks as dogs, thus the analogy in the cartoon! If people lived their life fearfull of offending people through every decision that they make, then they might as well lay down and die! I am black and do not find the cartoon offensive!
Star Jones you are a big mouth, ignorant black with a hatred for black men. The only reason you don’t have a problem with a black men being compared to a dog, is because you are the female counterpart to a male dog!
That is right, if you don’t have a problem with a black man being called a dog, then you must be the opposite of a male dog!
You never know whom you are communicating with on the internet,so it is unwise to make assumptions! I am a male ,not a female! I do not hate myself or other males, just ignorance like the type you are spouting. Star Jones is just a random name I chose which has no connection with my gender or philosophies! The only thing I have in common with the real Star Jones is that we are both black.I anticipate an infantile attack from you on the info I just divulged so as a preemptive response to your anticipated attack I am a heterosexual male! You look pretty stupid to anyone who has read your previous silly ramblings! You should not try to psychoanalyze pixels that you see on a screen, because 100% of the time you will be wrong!
I am so sorry that your communication skills and reasoning are so deficient! Your infantile attempt to attack my sexuality (correctly predicted by me) shows your immaturity! You can have the last word because I am done with this dialogue because you are too immature by me!

That cartoon about Sherman is so appropo for a ‘Black Republican’!
