Touting his endorsement by the city’s Firefighters’ Union, Local 73, Alderman Lewis Reed has come out early with the first television commercial in the campaign for President of the Board of Aldermen.
Reed is running against incumbent Pres. Jim Shrewsbury. The election is March 6th.
Editor’s Note: Reed is a client of A D French & Associates.

Can’t wait to see the campaign finance reports!!!!!!
From all the endorsements so far, he seems to have backing of Mayor Slay.
Has Liz Brown been conned?

Shrewsbury votes with Slay 99% of the time. Why would Slay oppose him? Don’t be crazy.

Impressive. He might actually pull it off.

I truely believe that Lewis Reed is the best qualified candidate for the office of President of the Board of Alderman.
I wish Lewis and his campaign staff all the best in his campaign for President of the Board !
GOD Bless you Lewis and keep up the good work for all of the citizens of the city of St.Louis.

How progressive of the “white” union. Is the lawsuit between FIRE and the City/Local 73 still going on?

My folks got a call from Reeds office asking about supporting him. The guy doing the phoning had no clue what the f*** he was doing/saying-
Josh- “Has Ald Reed received the endorsement of my alderwoman, lyda krewson? “
Phone bank guy - “uggghhhhh lemmmme check that oooonnnneeeeeeee….eeerrrrrrr” (shuffling paper in the background)
Josh - “Will Ald Reed be in my area so that I could hear him speak and possibly meet him?
Phone Bank Guy - “Ahhhhhh yeeessss possibly I dont have a schedule for events just yet but I know he’s going out to walk door to door soon, I just dont know when”
Josh - “Who else has Ald Reed been endorsed by?”
Phone bank guy ” The firefighters union”
Nary a word about Mike McMillan supporting him nor the vast improvements that he has brought to his ward NOR what he will do for me as BOA Pres…
And most importantly, he never asked if he could get the answers and call us back-
I do like the commercial though I’m not sure what I’m voting for on March 6th, whats he running for? does it have something to do with the Firefighters? Cause thats all I heard.
*I’m harsh because I do this for a living and I want to see all candidates raise the bar for how they run their campaigns
I wish him and shrewsbury each the best of luck and cant wait to hear both speak at our neighborhood associations Feb Mtg-
Clifton Heights Monday Feb 26th at 7pm Mason Elementary (in the cafeteria)
See ya there Antonio

You can’t wait to see the campaign finance report??!!
I think this ad tells you the man’s got no money.
Seriously, this may be the worst tv ad in the history of city politics.
