Gov. Matt Blunt today announced the appointment of Angeletta McCormick Franks to serve as director of the Office of Supplier and Workforce Diversity.
Franks previously served as a commissioner on the St. Louis City Election Board and as an aide to former U.S. Senator Jim Talent as a community liaison.
Franks will also serve as a special assistant to chief of staff Ed Martin and will be part of the governor’s senior staff.
The Office of Supplier and Workforce Diversity works to promote diversity within the state government and improve the opportunities for women and minorities to access state employment opportunities and state contracts. The office serves as a resource to further improve business and economic opportunities for Missouri’s women-owned and minority-owned businesses.

Angeletta Franks is very smart, straightforward, and has some strong ties to the African-American community. Governor Matt Blunt must be getting ready for re-election.
This appointment says a hell of a lot, because Angela Franks is not a “yes” sir negro! So now Govenor Blunt has a real sistah on his senior staff. Angela is not bad on the eyes either.
The Governor’s race of 2008 is going to heat up fast!

The Governor did a great job with this one. Angel is smart, a hard worker and understands the issues in the African American community. She will be a great asset.
Unlike other African Americans in the Republican Party, Angel is not weighed down with petty personal issues that often blind other so-called African American Republicans. She has a demostrated history of working hard to reach out.
You GO Girl. Good Luck

Nixon’s silence on the slps takeover might have been right, appropriate, smart and everything else. I wonder how many st. louis representatives tried to talk to him and could not get an appointment. Hopefully, that did not happen.
His silence is a bad mark for him in my book. But very few people read my book.

Be nice. Especially to private citizens.

Unfortuantely, the truth hurts and some people not only can’t handle the truth they don’t want anyone else to no it. Angel makes a great representative for the Governor because she is loyal, smart and a hard worker.
Those other people like James Hill, Sherman, Chris, John Scates and Dwight Billingsley not only try to guard the gate against more Black people coming into the Republican Party they also eargerly promote issues that are anti-Black. Thank goodness the Governor saw the evil and worthlessness in them and chose not to make them a part of his plan.
The Governor also needs loyal and committed party members. For Sherman and James Hill to support Claire McCaskill over Jim Talent and for Sherman to be Keith Savages’ (a declared Democratic candidate for State Representative)campaign manager does seem to conflict wit the notion of party loyalty.
So down with the dimwits and up with Angel. Maybe they will come up with Dimwits Republicans for Diversity but then that would give Dimwits a bad name.
