You may have heard that two concert-goers were injured Sunday at Beyonce’s concert at the ScottTrade Center. They were reportedly taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital where they were treated for minor burns.
You may have also heard that Beyonce visited the two victims at Barnes later that night.
Now see the video of the pyro accident…

Why do you have to sue someone every time an accident occurs?
It was an accident.
July 10th, 2007 at 5:13 pm
You’re crazy, cweguy. Don’t you think those people are going to face an outrageous medical bill from Barnes? Why should they have to pay it out of their pockets? And there is such a thing as pain and suffering. It’s not just some made up way of getting more money. These concert promoters and pyrotechnicians need to be responsible for their mistakes. SUE ‘EM!!!

Obviously, all medical expenses should be paid. THAT, is being responsible for accidents.
However, thinking you’ve won the lottery if you get injured is ridiculous!
Grow up, anonymous. Who do you think pays for all those lawsuits? WE DO!
July 10th, 2007 at 9:11 pm
Thank you cweguy. I’m happy to know at least one other person out there gets it. For those of you who don’t get it, let me explain. Economically, a lawsuit is nothing more than a transfer of resources(instead of resources you could call it money, but I think its important to emphasize that money is just a proxy for the general resources we possess as a society) from society to an individual. When a lawsuit is won, society is essentially saying that we believe this person has been so impaired that it is appropriate to give that person some of OUR resources. As cweguy said, in the end we all pay for those lawsuits, as businesses pass along higher insurance premiums through the price of their products, or more directly, we pay higher insurance premiums ourselves. Just look at the healthcare industry. Lawsuits drive many of our costs. If you like seeing your health insurance premiums rise by double digit percentages each year then keep on suing. Otherwise you need to rethink your ideas. True injuries should be compensated for, but the greed that is all too prevalent in lawsuits is economically destructive.

Maybe read the back of your ticket(s). They are not responsible for any injury(s) sustained while your attending an event there. So cry to someone else u TooL.

I would of been in the office of Brown and Crouppen monday morning, seeking a civil redress for my injuries!
July 11th, 2007 at 6:44 am
I would have been at work.
My medical bills would have been forwarded to the appropriate person and the issue would be closed.

Insurance is designed to pay for things like this. Either Scott Trades’, the pyro company’s, or Beyonce’s. Whoever.
cwe guy (and Anon. at 10:11) is 100% correct.
