The Service Employees International Union, Local 2000 will be endorsing Chris Koster’s campaign for Attorney General.
Koster finally formally announced his bid for AG yesterday in Harrisonville, MO. He held another announcement today in Independence. And late yesterday, a third stop was added to his cross-state announcement tour — St. Louis City — or more specifically, the headquarters of SEIU Local 2000. That press event is scheduled for Monday at 10:30 AM.
In related news… Koster’s new website is now live. ChrisKoster.com was designed by A D French & Associates. Feedback is welcome.
PubDef.net is scheduling interviews with all four announced Attorney General candidates. Check back next week for our interviews with Senators Mike Gibbons (R) and Chris Koster (D), and State Reps Jeff Harris (D) and Margaret Donnelly (D).

Why did this strong Union sell out to a former Republican..Sounds like they are very confused on Health Care because Koster voted against our KIDS with the Gov. Blunt? Margaret Donnelly has consistantly took a firm Democratic stand for Working Families…..This is sad news but then again its been awhile since SEIU picked a winner hasn’t it? Even in 2004 they couldn’t stand up in Iowa so its really sad that this predominately black healthcare union would go with a flip-flopper named Chris Koster..Times that bad SEIU

SEIU is a sell out organization that is looking to receive some Republican money in the future.
They are a pathetic excuse for a Union and anyone they support in the coming elections will not get my support.
SEIU has lost all my respect!

As a former employee of the SEIU (not local 2000) this is sad news to me. They seemed determind to try to pick winners instead of actually investing in the best candidate and helping them win.
Margaret Donnelly should totally ignore them when she becomes AG. Lucky for them, she has principles and will probably support their causes despite this total slap to the face.

The statewide is upset by this. I would hope you report that. You and I both know he bought that endorsement. Antonio I continue to believe that a up and comer like yourself got sucked in by a man that has little morals like Koster. But in any event you owe the record a new post to clarify what is going on.
