Tears on the Campaign Trail

As you may have heard, Hillary Clinton “had a moment” at a campaign event today.

It was Tom Hanks (in “A League of Their Own”) who said, “There’s no crying in baseball.” Is the same true for presidential primaries?

In response to Clinton’s display of emotion, rival John Edwards had this to say:

“I think what we need in a commander-in-chief is strength and resolve, and presidential campaigns are tough business, but being president of the United States is also tough business,” Edwards told reporters Laconia, New Hampshire.

What do you think about Clinton’s tears? Is this even worth the attention it’s gotten?

Wow, she actually sounds like a sincere human being and not a pre-preprogrammed robot. I like it.

Well, Edwards just went down in my book. Showing emotion doesn’t mean someone isn’t strong, it just means they have a heart. Men who don’t cry haven’t really brought the world to a very peaceful place, now have they?

Why did no one note that Romney teared up three times in a matter of days in December? Is this a double standard, boys?

I was taken by surprise and impressed the first time I saw it (edited, of course) but she sure seemed sincere to me. I liked it too. (and it worked)
