If Purdy is the type of person collecting signatures then I feel bad for the recall folks.
Of course, I’ll sign the recall if it means people like Purdy and all of the county people will go away.

Thank you Mr. Purdy for your efforts on the school board and the work towards the recall of that damn Slay!

I just witnessed a very disturbing arguement in the 7th Ward. The person getting signatures actually shoved a man because they were arguing about the recall.
Antonio, please get your guys over there to calm her down. She needs to stop yelling at people or they won’t sign! The polls close in a few hours and we can’t waste time. Please help Antonio.

ms stl,
how is Purdy supposed to fix the schools when the state took the board’s power away and gave it to Blunt’s friend?

I was collecting signatures for the recall in Central West End [I’m a white woman]. People were courteous. The Slay supporters [mostly white folks] courteously said that they support him and weren’t interested in signing. All but one of the signers are African American. They were very happy to have access to the petition.
The nice man in charge of the building in which the polling place was located let me park my vehicle in the staff parking 30 feet from door so that I didn’t get rained on while waiting for voters to exit the polling place.
