Great post Antonio. I saw the transformation from a family and community event to a commercialized free for all coming with the first change to the parade route to Natural Bridge. If you will recall, it was the first year that Schnucks put the giant grocery cart in the parade although they wouldn’t put stores in the neighborhood.
It should have never moved. The Ville is something that people should see. The Hibernians don’t participate in the DT parade for good reason.
