Someone please tell me how a bunch of black dudes walking in the middle of a street is going to change people’s hearts and minds and cause people to not kill one another…
We do know at least those black men walking in their community will touch the hearts and minds of the targeted youth and the plan to impact the problems of our children will succeed.
I joined the Call To Oneness to contribute to the betterment of our City.
Call to Oneness is a wonderful beginning (a way to demonstrate the need for change in the Black Community), however, I believe there should be a Nationwide Movement towards Healing Racism once and for all! This will require the use of Historians, Philosophers, Theologians, Psychologists, Social Workers (of which I am one), Sociologists and Politicians to undertake this task. This will require ALL Citizens, Black and White to complete and all generations, starting from the first people from Africa, to the present generation. Much of the present Black Culture can be traced back to how the original people were mistreated by slave sellers and slave owners. The effects of Slaver is still very much felt in the present generation in this New Millenium! It is time to Heal and Move On!
Someone please explain reasons that all the pastors and ministers with churches cannot come and unify behind this movement ?
