Antonio, I do not know if you agree with me that there is often an ugly sexist and racist meanspiritedness in John McCain’s much ballyhooed sense of humour. A commercial in June, before the celebrity one, showed obama’s face placed on the statue of liberty, the four presidents on mount rushmore, and finally on the currency—
I have always wondered about the joke he told regarding Chelsea Clinton in 1998—she is ugly because her father is Janet Reno. It is not totally proven, or unproven on the internet (336,000 results on google). I wonder if anyone can tell you if the Clintons ever had a reaction to that—and if he should deny it–I would bet Joe Biden would be able to shoot down his denial.
