Skelton, Montee Address MO Delegation

DENVER — Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton and State Auditor Susan Montee headlined today’s breakfast of the Show-Me State’s delegation to the Democratic National Convention.

Montee, an early supporter of Barack Obama, said she was moved early on by Hillary Clinton’s historic campaign to become the first woman President, but it was Obama’s message of unity and change that caused her to support him a year ago when he was 30 points down in the polls.

Longtime Congressman Ike Skelton, who attended his first DNC as a kid in 1940, praised Obama’s selection of Sen. Joe Biden as his runninmate.

“He was a tremendous choice,” said Skelton.

The Missouri delegates will soon be heading to the Pepsi Center for Day Two of the Convention. Stay with PubDef for live videos and Twitter updates.

From the looks of that sign, looks like a lobbyist was involved.
