Young Dems VP Poll: Either Biden or Kaine
The Young Democrats of Greater St. Louis, took an informal poll over the last two days on who would be the VP pick for Barack Obama. 633 members responded. Members evenly split the decision between Governor Tim Kaine and Senator Joe Biden.

Retired School Employees Make 3rd Request for $20M Pension Funding
Retired employees of St. Louis Public Schools have made a third request for the $20 million owed to their pension fund for 2008.

Recount Coming in A.G. Race
State Rep. Margaret Donnelly has decided to ask for a recount in the race for the Democratic nominee for Attorney General. According to the unofficial final results, State Senator Chris Koster appears to have won the four-way contest with 34.3% of the vote to Donnelly’s 34.1%, a difference of just 783 votes.

North City Farmers’ Market Now Has Fruit!
The two-month-old North City Farmers’ Market now has a fruit vendor: Centennial Farms.
According to project coordinator Lucas Hudson, Centennial Farms will be selling watermelons, cantaloupes, peaches and possibly blackberries.
