In the hours before yesterday’s Vice-Presidential debate in St. Louis, producer Davin Hutchins of the American News Project and blogger Antonio French of PubDef.net spent the day yesterday interviewing supporters and opponents of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

In the heart of Palin Land — which that night was inside Chaifetz Arena on the campus of St. Louis University, where Republicans held a huge watch party that Sarah Palin herself attended later that night — Hutchins and French found a re-energized conservative base.
