Ed Martin, who served as Gov. Matt Blunt’s chief of staff, has resigned.The governor announced this afternoon that Martin, a St. Louis resident, had stepped down from the position to “spend more time with his family.” He was a key player in the controversy over the administration’s retention of e-mails.
