Antonio French founded PubDef in 2005 and wrote most of the stories in this archive — camera in one hand, keyboard in the other. He went on to serve two terms as Alderman of St. Louis' 21st Ward, became the nation's eyes on Ferguson in 2014, and wrote the law that put St. Louis city government on YouTube.
