Antonio French founded PubDef in 2005 and wrote most of the stories in this archive — camera in one hand, keyboard in the other. He went on to serve two terms as Alderman of St. Louis' 21st Ward, became the nation's eyes on Ferguson in 2014, and wrote the law that put St. Louis city government on YouTube. Today he is a columnist and Editorial Board member at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a twice-weekly contributor on The Big 550 KTRS, and a regular election-night commentator on KMOV.
